Paris wasn't always called Paris! Over 2,000 years ago, a Celtic tribe called the Parisii inhabited the area, giving the city its original name, Lutetia.
Believe it or not, the flaky, buttery croissant we know and love might have originated in Austria! While its exact origins are debated, French bakers perfected the recipe in the 18th century, making it a Parisian staple.

Traffic lights rule the Parisian road, but legend has it there's only ONE stop sign in the entire city!
Its exact location remains a mystery, adding to the city's unique charm.

For art enthusiasts, a hidden gem not to be missed is the Musée Marmottan Monet. Dedicated to the work of Claude Monet and other Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists, this museum houses the world's leading collection of Monet's paintings.
Canal Saint-Martin: This picturesque canal lined with charming cafes and quaint shops is a local favorite. Take a leisurely stroll along the water, rent a boat for a unique perspective, or enjoy a picnic lunch on the banks.
Musée Carnavalet (Museum of the History of Paris): Journey through time at this fascinating museum. Explore exhibits showcasing everything from Roman artifacts to the city's revolutionary past and the rise of Parisian fashion.
The Musée d'Orsay in Paris is an artistic treasure trove, a must-visit for any art enthusiast. Located on the Left Bank of the Seine, it's housed within a magnificent Beaux-Arts railway station, adding architectural grandeur to the artistic experience.
Atelier des Lumières: This unique art space utilizes cutting-edge technology to project immersive exhibitions onto the walls of a former foundry. Witness masterpieces by artists like Van Gogh or Monet come to life in a captivating experience.
Père Lachaise Cemetery: This sprawling cemetery is not just a resting place for the departed; it's also a fascinating open-air museum. Explore the elaborate tombs of famous Parisians like Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde, and wander the peaceful grounds dotted with sculptures and mausoleums.
Le Marais is a neighborhood to be savored at a leisurely pace. Wander its narrow streets, discover hidden courtyards, and stumble upon charming boutiques and cafes. Indulge in delicious pastries at a local boulangerie, enjoy a leisurely lunch at a quaint bistro, or sip a coffee and watch the world go by at a sidewalk cafe.
Le Marais comes alive at night, with its bars, restaurants, and clubs offering a diverse range of entertainment options. From lively cocktail bars to intimate jazz clubs, there's something to suit every taste.
Furthermore, I can highly recommend to witness the thrill of thoroughbred horse racing at the prestigious Longchamp Racecourse. Witness top jockeys compete for glory against the backdrop of the City of Lights.
Strolls though Montmartre
Montmartre isn't just a neighborhood; it's a living postcard. Perched atop a hill, it offers breathtaking views, charming streets, and a vibrant artistic soul. Step back in time as you explore:

Place du Tertre: Immerse yourself in the heart of Montmartre's artistic heritage. This charming square is lined with portrait artists, eager to capture your Parisian essence. Become part of the artistic legacy with a caricature or portrait, a unique souvenir of your Montmartre adventure.
Sacré-Coeur Vineyard: Yes, a vineyard! Nestled amidst the bustling streets, this hidden gem offers a taste of Parisian history. Capture a photo of the grapevines basking in the sun, a surprising discovery in the heart of the city.
Sacré-Coeur Stairs: Wind your way up the charming steps of Montmartre, lined with cafes and shops. Capture the energy of the neighborhood – street performers, bustling crowds, and the promise of artistic discovery around every corner.
Secret Tip: La Maison Rose, or "The Pink House," is a charming restaurant that exudes Parisian charm and artistic spirit. Its vibrant pink façade, adorned with ivy and flowers, has captivated artists and bohemians for over a century.
Beyond the City:
If you had enough of the city, take a day trip to Versailles, the magnificent royal palace, go to Disneyland or explore the charming towns of Giverny (Monet's garden) or Fontainebleau.

CHARMING GREENERY
Paris might be a bustling metropolis, but tucked away amidst the grand avenues and iconic landmarks lie pockets of tranquility. While iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower steal the show, the true magic can be found in the city's hidden gems – its parks. Forget the crowded tourist hotspots and delve into these verdant havens, each offering a unique experience. These havens offer a chance to escape the city's energy, connect with nature, and capture the unexpected beauty of the City of Lights

Jardin des Tuileries: History whispers from every corner of the Tuileries Garden. Located between the Louvre Museum and the Place de la Concorde, this iconic park offers a glimpse into French formal garden design. Imagine capturing the grandeur with a photo showcasing the manicured lawns stretching towards the Louvre, or a close-up of the vibrant flower beds bursting with color. Look for details – a couple strolling hand-in-hand, children racing across the vast lawns, or a local Parisian enjoying a picnic lunch under the shade of a majestic chestnut tree. The Tuileries Garden offers a unique blend of history, nature, and Parisian charm, waiting to be captured through your lens.
